Lynbrook is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Its Local Government Area is the City of Casey. Lynbrook is positioned on the South Gippsland Highway, 40km south-east of Melbourne CBD, slightly north-west of Cranbourne, and just south of the residential suburb of Hampton Park.

The suburb was developed by VicUrban, starting in 1994. When completed in 2005, Lynbrook will have 1750 households, approx. 5200 residents and a total area of 1.85 square kilometres. A special feature of the VicUrban development is the stormwater catchment which flows into the lake and wetlands where it is purifed before being released into Dandenong Creek and into Port Phillip Bay.

Prior to 1994, the area now occupied by Lynbrook was part of Lyndhurst.

Lynbrook Primary School opened in Jan-05 with an initial enrollment of 175 students, this is expected to grow to 800+ students by 2010. A site has been set aside for a Catholic primary school to be built in the future.

A maternal and child health centre was constructed by Casey Council and opened in early 2006. This centre also includes a pre-school kindergarten for the growing number of children in the area.

Banjo Paterson Park is a large park that services the recreation needs of the residents of Lynbrook. The park has many paths for walking and cycling, a BBQ area, a large children's playground, open spaces and a football / cricket oval. The oval is home to the "Lynbrook Lakers" cricket team which fields a number of adult and children's cricket teams in the local league.

A large shopping centre development site on the corner of Sth Gippsland Hwy and Lynbrook Boulevard was purchased by Coles Myer Ltd who will build and operate the complex. Construction of the shopping centre is expected to be complete by November 2006.

A Railway Station is planned for Lynbrook at a future date. This is expected to be built during or after 2010.

Carols by Candlelight is held every year in December which has a large crowd of local residents that gather under the stars to sing Christmas carols and share a good night out. This culminates in a spectacular fireworks spectacle. This year the Carols are cancelled due to not having enough people needed to run the event. The Carols was going to be held on Saturday 17th December 2006. The LRA hopes that the Carols will be albe to run in 2007.
