Lyn St. James

Lyn St. James (born Sandra Lynn Eden on March 13, 1947 in Willoughby, Ohio) is a retired professional Indy Car driver with 11 CART and 15 Indy Racing League starts to her name. She is just one of four women who successfully qualified for the Indianapolis 500, and became the first woman to win the Indy 500 Rookie Of The Year award. "St. James" is a professional pseudonym, assumed shortly after marrying businessman John Carusso in 1973. The inspiration for the name "St. James" came from actress Susan Saint James.
