[edit] History
The club was founded in 1930, initially as Lye and Wollescote FC, changing their name a year later. They were a dominant force in the Worcestershire Combination in the years before World War II, winning the title once and finishing second on two other occasions. When football resumed after the war, they stepped up to the Birmingham and District League, which was renamed the West Midlands Regional League in 1962. They were founder members of the league's Premier Division in 1965 and have remained in the division now for forty years. In five seasons between 1976/77 and 1980/81 they were runners-up four times, and finally clinched the title in 1998, although they were not promoted to a higher league.
