LXDE

LXDE is a free desktop environment for Unix and other POSIX compliant platforms, such as Linux or BSD. LXDE uses IceWM as its default Window Manager and aims at offering a lightweight and fast desktop based on mutually independents components.[1]

The name LXDE stands for "Lightweight X11 Desktop Environment". LXDE provides the default desktop environment for the PUD GNU/Linux distribution[2].
