Luya is a district of the province of Luya. Luya offers several attractive places for tourists like ruins of the culture Chachapoya and beautiful Cataracts.

The management holidays of the capital Luya are celebrated the day of Saint John Baptist, June 24, in Conila on June 16. As the cuy knows typical meals with dads, the chochoca with Caransho, the Purtumute, the Bean with Pope's Ucho and the Ribs of dirty person between others.

In the north the District of Luya has border with the District of Lamud, the District of Trita and the District of St Kitts, in the East with the District of Chachapoyas (Province of Chachapoyas), in the south with the District of Lonya Chico and in the west with the District of Luya Viejo and the Saint's District Catalina (Luya).
