"Luv Me, Luv Me" is a 1998 single by Shaggy for the How Stella Got Her Groove Back film and later appeared on his Hot Shot album. Billboard changed its chart policies near the end of 1998, allowing tracks without a commercial release to chart on main Billboard charts. This is why Luv Me, Luv Me only debuted on the Hot 100 in December - just as it was losing steam at radio.
