Luther is the title of several movies about the life of Martin Luther, father of the Protestant Reformation.
The 2003 movie starred Joseph Fiennes (as Luther), Alfred Molina and Peter Ustinov. It was directed by Eric Till and partially funded by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, a faith-based financial services organization.
The 1973 version starred Stacy Keach (as Luther), Patrick Magee, Hugh Griffith and Judi Dench.
There was also a 1928 movie, which starred Eugen Klöpfer as Luther himself and Theodor Loos as Philipp Melanchthon.
There were also made-for-TV movies in 1964, by ABC, and in 1965 by BBC.
