I am MAN. Subgenus homo literarus.
I've been editing this ole' encyclopaedia for a couple of years now, but only little bits, and only once in a blue moon. Most of the things I want to read about have been well-written-about already, and so I concentrate on simple little things such as commas and that. I am continually awed by Wikipedia's coverage of things I did not know even existed.
I know a little bit about formatting, links etc, but I am basically an amateur. If I make a mistake, or tread on someone's toes, or disgrace myself, or disgrace someone else, please please please tell me (nicely - it wasn't deliberate) and I will mend my ways. I don't have any political axes to grind and I'm not hung up on a particular topic. As I write these words it has been two weeks since I last vomited.
It has taken me a very long time to think up a good name - I wanted to be called Camomile Smile, but that is apparently a type of tea. [1] Eventually I decided to stop trying to think up a good name therefore I have picked the first name that came into my head. I was born in the middle of the 1960s and like so many other people I don't remember that decade at all. I am (gulp) over forty years old yet I am still alive!
I know from past experience, from reading things I have written, that I am nothing like how you imagine me to be in real life. For one thing I use longer sentences when I am talking. Also, I wave my hands, which I cannot do when writing - because if I wave my hands about, they cannot type! I have to keep my hands steady, and it feels unnatural, and I write unnaturally.
I notice that most people have big colourful boxes on their home page.
