[edit] Plot
Lupin III is the world's most skillful and most wanted thief. Sometimes he just steals whatever he wants, and at other times he prefers to steal from disrespectable people. Often in his adventures, he will take it upon himself and his gang to foil other criminals engaged in more serious crimes. He often appears incompetent, but it is mostly a disguise. While he has been arrested and thrown in jail on a number of occasions he has always managed to get broken out. He also has a fondness for fancy gadgets from time to time.

[edit] Trivia
- The Japanese anime Lupin III will be turned into a live action show by Philippine's Number 1 television network. Apparantly, GMA Network have bought the rights to transform it from an animated feature to a live action for Richard Gutiérrez.
- Richard Gutiérrez's Captain Barbell (TV series) will end on January 2007, and Lupin III will start on March 2007 for the actor to have a break between the two soaps. The rest of the cast are still in secret; of course, apart from Gutiérrez and Madrigal.
- Although the Japanese anime version had Lupin depicted as a funny, wisecracking robber/hopeless romantic, it has yet to be confirmed whether Richard's version of Lupin will be more serious in nature (to be patterned after James Bond) or follow the original characterization of the Japanese anime. Richard's comic antics are yet to be proven if he will follow the anime characterization although he regularly appears in GMA's gag show Nuts Entertainment.
- It's teaser trailer will be first brodcast through the Metro Manila Film Festival 2006.
