All fotos of a flying LLRV without engine flame seem to be fotomontages resp. faked fotos from NASA. Sorry, an engine on an LLRV like this was never working without flame or at least engine smoke.

The main lifting source was the CF-700-2V turbofan, although a heavy smoker under nowadays terms (before high-bypass era), just an ordinary jet engine of that time, producing some faintly visible shades at a distance of 60ft+ and thus outside the camera's field of view. The typical and massive peroxide fumes seen on some pictures always stem from the primary uplift stage or the touchdown phase, co-managed by the 500lbf secondary rockets. Other occurances of white smoke during flight are caused by the noticeable smaller thrusters. It is perfectly normal, to see the LLRV moving through the air without any evidence of engaged rockets. It also is perfectly crazy, to assume any falsification.
