[edit] Biography
The first songs for their debut album Atlantis, which was written by Alex and Sandro, have built the foundation of this band. After a long search for a lead singer, they recruited Andrea in 2001.
Atlantis got nice reviews, and the band found themselves being booked for quite a few concerts and festivals. After playing at the Metaldayz festival - the biggest metal open air festival in Switzerland - Lunatica was elected "best newcomer band" and gained a lot of new fans.
For their second album, Fables & Dreams, the band worked with producer Sascha Paeth, known from bands like Rhapsody, Kamelot, Angra, After Forever, Edguy and Heaven's Gate. Sascha managed to create the desired production that the band wanted; the songs are better produced, and they had more time to compose and arrange them, something you can't ignore in comparison to Atlantis.
Fables & Dreams was released in 2004, and climbed directly to place 13 on the Swiss Internet charts. Even a few months later, the album was still among the top 100 on the Swiss selling charts. The single, Fable of Dreams, was played regularly by many Swiss radio stations.
In December 2005, they started recording their new album. The title of the new album is The Edge Of Infinity and was released 23 September 2006
