[edit] History
The band originally formed in Charlotte, NC in 1997, coming from the same movement as other Charlotte locals; Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13.
The group released their debut "Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children" and toured across the southeast, gaining a relative following as well as attention from magazines such as Metal Edge. But artistic differences would emerge between vocalist Kid Kid and the rest of the band, resulting in the band going on hiatus, in the fall of 1999.
After aquriing two new vocalists (Knuggs and Spanky Love), the band decided to re-locate to Orlando, FL. In early 2001, the band was voted "Best Live Act" at the Orlando Metal Awards. The following year they were voted "Best Metal Act" and performed at the annual Milwaukee Metal Fest.
In 2003, the band released their first full-length record in 5 years, and first without their original vocalist, entitled "Evil Leads the Way".
[edit] Current
The groups original vocalist went on to perform for sometime with Wednesday 13 as the bassist and backing vocalist until his recent departure. He also has an acoustic solo project called Rayen Belchere.
Whereas Lunatic Candy Kreep continue to play together and plan on releasing a new album sometime in the near future.
