Luminar Leisure is a company in the UK, operators of late-night units in the UK. Luminar currently specialises in nightclubs, bars and restaurants and are expanding as a result in the increased revenue to be found in the night entertainment industry.

Luminar Leisure Limited was established in 1988 with the opening of its first Nightclub, Manhattan Nitespot in King's Lynn. The continued growth in the discotheque division and the creation of the popular Chicago Rock Cafe concept meant Luminar became the most successful leisure company of the early 1990's. [1]

Currently the company has several brands across the country including Lava Ignite, LIFE, Jumpin Jaks, Liquid and Oceana. As well as running large brands of nightclubs Luminar operate several independent clubs and bars for example Majestyk in Leeds.

  • Batchwood Hall (St Albans - Hertfordshire)
  • Oceana (Kingston - London)
  • Oceana (Nottingham)
  • Chicago Rock (Warrington - Cheshire)
  • Liquid & Envy (Luton - Bedfordshire)

In Early 2006 Luminar Leisure dropped one of its largest clubs in North London from its brand. The venue known as Eros ran various popular club nights but after several loss-making years finally met its end. [1]
