Lugdunum, a Celtic compound possibly meaning "shining hill" or "hill of the god Lug", was the name of several ancient Gallo-Roman cities and towns, of which the following were the most important:

  1. Lugdunum, now Lyon, France.
  2. Lugdunum Clavatum, now Laon, France.
  3. Lugdunum Convenarum, now Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges, France.
  4. Lugdunum Batavorum, now Katwijk, the Netherlands.
