[edit] License tagging for Image:Young Girl with Gloves.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Young Girl with Gloves.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 04:07, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Username block
Your username has been blocked indefinitely because it may be rude or inflammatory, unnecessarily long/confusing, too similar to an existing user, contains the name of an organization, website or non-Latin characters, or is otherwise inappropriate (see our blocking and username policies for more information). You are encouraged to create a new account and contribute to Wikipedia under a more appropriate username, and in a constructive manner. Wikipedia:Username provides guidance on selecting an appropriate username. You may also edit Wikipedia without creating an account. You are not allowed to edit Wikipedia under an inappropriate username. If you would like to discuss the block, you may edit your talk page or email the administrator who blocked you.
Due to Wikipedia's mechanism for enforcing name changes, your IP address may be temporarily blocked. Unless you have also been engaging in vandalism or impersonation of another user, we will remove that block as soon as possible — if this doesn't happen within an hour or so, please email an administrator and explain the situation (see the list of administrators).
If you want to keep the contributions from your old account for your new username, please follow these directions: (1) Add {{unblock-un|new username}} to your user talk page. This is possible because even when you are blocked, you can still edit your own talk page. (2) Soon, an admin may come to unblock you. (3) You will have 24 hours after the unblock to file a request on Wikipedia:Changing username before you may be re-blocked. Note that this can only be done before you create the new one. For more information, please visit Wikipedia:Changing username. In many cases (especially if your account has few or no edits), it is a lot easier to create a new account.

I feel that my name is not rude or inflammatory and I think it is hilarious that I am being encouraged to change it. I understand that the environment of Wikipedia is supposed to be positive and friendly, what better way to prompt this amiability than with some good ol' gay cheer. I am not being rude or aggressive or pushing myself on anyone, editting heterophilic articles. Would brown_eyes be inflammatory? I suppose 5foot10 is rubbing my "belief system" in the public's face. If my name were ass_fucker or faggyfaggerson, I could understand. But this is ridiculous.
I was interested in whether or not any of the administrators had usernames that were possibly rude, offensive or inflammatory. User:Cant sleep, clown will eat me - Unnessisary length, confusing.
User:Consumed Crustation - Offensive to Animal rights activists
User:Cyberjunky - Name makes light of and presents addiction in a humourous way.
User:Hooperdink - Contains slang for genitalia
User:Slim Virgin - Sexually suggestive
This, I believe, illustrates that it is impossible to remain neutral to everyone. I think these usernames are great, diversity is what makes a community great. As long as a username is not abusive, aggressive, or discriminatory, I dont see why it shouldnt be allowed. Regardless of a usernames, conflicts will arise.
User Churchboy - User Bhuddahbud - User Vivaitalia - User quadrapolicing - User Black'n'stacked User Oldbag - User Gayghoul - User - User Youngfun - User:Richeststitches
(I wish you would have waited until I was finished updating Art Deco. I was hoping to get it off the laundry list by Saturday)
- Just doing my job. Your contributions are terrific, but the username simply can't stay. I'll unblock you, but I strongly suggest that you request a new name. I really wrestled with this decision to block you in light of your contributions, so it isn't anything personal and/or homophobic. - Lucky 6.9 06:28, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
When will I be unblocked? You have inspired me to change my name to Lucky 23.Homosexual 12:36, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
- You've been unblocked for 6 hours now. Please file a username change request in the next 48 hours or you will be blocked again pending a name change. pschemp | talk 18:07, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
- I'm flattered. :)) - Lucky 6.9 22:45, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
Woah, pschemp. A little officious, are we? I read the policy and agree to comply with it. I think Lucky 6.9 has this one under control, thanks. After reading the inital message at 6:25, I tried editing the (Wikipedia: Change Username) page to add my request at the bottom. I got a user blocked default. Am I missing something? Is there a certain funtion or link I need to click? Is it possible for you to do this for me? Thanks, Lucky 23
- Try it now. Its possible you were caught in an IP autoblock. pschemp | talk 00:27, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
