Since I can't be bothered fiddling about with userboxes, here are some possibly important things you should know about me. These things have the potential to bias my views on certain articles, although I try to remain neutral as far as possible.
I believe that I have the right to destroy my body as I choose. I am therefore mostly against the war on drugs and any similar such neo-prohibitionist movements. This includes MADD, which I believe started off with noble intentions but now has ambitions beyond simply stopping drunk driving, and is now effectively working to ban or strongly limit the availability of alcohol. I am an active member of the Modern Drunkard forums, and have a strong interest in all things to do with alcohol.
I am against the ban on smoking in public places. It is my belief that owners of public houses, restaurants, etc. should be able to declare their premises as non-smoking should they wish, but that a government should not be able to force them to either ban or allow smoking.
I don't really know what to think about the Global War on Terrorism (or war in general), so I will probably tend to keep away from any articles on such subjects, except to make small corrections to spelling.
While I acknowledge that language is an organic thing, I still believe in trying to adhere to correct spelling and grammar, especially in a project like this. I am also fully aware that my own abilities in these fields are somewhat suspect.
