Karen Lucy Hale, credited as Lucy Hale, (born 14 June 1989 in Memphis, Tennessee) is an American singer and actress, who was one of the five winners of the nationally broadcast American Juniors TV reality/talent show, which became a band of the same name.
Hale is the oldest member of the American Juniors. She was almost one year over the limit when she auditioned for the American Juniors (the limit was thirteen, she was fourteen). She didn't break the rules because she turned 14 in the middle of the show.
After the American Juniors band dissolved, Hale focused on acting. She's had guest roles on shows such as Drake & Josh, Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, and most recently The O.C.. As well she filmed an ABC pilot for the show Secrets of a Small Town. Produced by Touchstone TV, the show focuses on teenage girl's murder and disappearance of her sister. The show has not yet been officially scheduled to air.
Hale is the youngest of three; her siblings include an older sister and brother. Her favorite stores are Hollister and Abercrombie
