Lucien Bourjeily is a Lebanese stage actor and director. Lucien studied acting techniques at the Lebanese Modern Theater School in Beirut and joined the Lebanese Modern Theater Troupe in 1999. He has played leading roles in Sophocles' "Oedipus Rex" (Beiteddine International Festival - 1999), Debs's "Night Signs" & "The Dragon" (2000), Chekhov's masterpiece Uncle Vania (2002), and Ionesco's "The Chairs" (2003), all under the direction of Lebanese/French theatrical pioneer Mounir A.Debs. He directed "A Natural Tragedy" (2001) at the Irwin Theater, in addition to The Bear (2004), The Employee (2004), and About Tobacco (2004) at the Monnot Theater in Beirut. Recently, he adapted and directed “A Jubilee” (2006) a 3 one-act comedies show (The Proposal, A Jubilee, and The Vine) by A. Chekhov at the Monnot Theater.
