"Luanne's Saga" is the fifth episode of the FOX animated television series King of the Hill.
[edit] Plot
Hank is irritated and his den is a mess. Luanne is living in Hank's den, and doesn't see a problem. When Hank fills her in on why he is irritated, Luanne reassures him that she will be out soon, as Buckley is about to propose marriage. Hank is somewhat relieved.
The guys are all in the alley, having their beer when Buckley pulls up. Luanne runs out and hops onto the back of his motorcycle, and they take off. Halfway down the street, the motorcycle stops, and Luanne gets off, running back into the house, hysterically crying. Bill informs the guys that it was a break up, no doubt about it.
Luanne has been crying non-stop for days, when Hank tells Peggy to 'fix her'. Peggy tells him that there is no rushing the natural process of getting over a breakup. She warns Hank not to interfere. Hank begs to differ, and takes Luanne under his wing. They eat raw cookie dough together, gossip like teenagers, and shop. Hank decides that it is going so well, he will take her out with everyone, and find her a new boyfriend himself.
Hank finds Wade at a country bar. While Peggy is dancing with Bill, Hank is 'interviewing' Wade at the bar. When he says all of the right things, Hank passes him off to Luanne, and takes Peggy home. Confident that they are a new couple, and that he has now fixed it all single-handedly, he comes clean to Peggy. Peggy can't believe that Hank had interfered after her stern warning. Hank remained smug. The next morning, Buckley shows up with a box of candy, but Hank shoos him away. Peggy informs Hank that Luanne wants Buckley to come back. Hank tells her that Wade is her new boyfriend, and points out that they are just pulling up in a car just like Boomhauer's. To Hank's horror, it IS Boomhauer, and they are kissing. After a loud argument, where Hank forbids Luanne to see Boomhauer, she moves out of the den, and into Boomhauer's.
