Luan Tingyu is a character in the epic Chinese novel, the Water Margin.

Luan was the chief military instructor of the Zhu village - who was trying to capture Chao Gai and his Liangshan bandits for the government bounty - and was nicknamed 'The Invincible'. The Zhu village was eventually defeated by the Liangshan heroes.
