Lu is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Alessandria in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 60 km east of Turin and about 14 km northwest of Alessandria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,207 and an area of 21.7 km2.[1]
The municipality of Lu contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Bodelacchi, Borghina, Castagna, Martini, and Trisogli.
Lu borders the following municipalities: Camagna Monferrato, Conzano, Cuccaro Monferrato, Mirabello Monferrato, Occimiano, Quargnento, and San Salvatore Monferrato.
