Lovespirals began in 1999 as an outgrowth of Love Spirals Downwards, the Ethereal/Dream Pop recording project of multi-instrumentalist and producer, Ryan Lum. The new outfit found Lum teaming up with Rom Di Prisco associate, Anji Bee. This Southern California duo have worked in a number of musical styles over the years, beginning with jazzy Drum and Bass club tracks, then reverting to more familiar Dream Pop territory with their first full length CD, Windblown Kiss, and finally arriving at what seems to be a blend of the band's Electronica and Rock aspects with their sophomore CD, Free & Easy. Recent internet-only releases include 2 covers of seminal Psychedelic Rock band, Pink Floyd, indicating a move away from Downtempo fare and back towards Rock again.
Lovespirals' music has been featured internationally on network television, cable, DVD, podcasts, vidcasts, Internet and radio including: The Oprah Winfrey Show, ETV's Gastineau Girls, VH1's Celebrity Fit Club, the WB's Popular boxed set, The Strand: Venice (by Daniel Myrick of The Blair Witch Project fame), The Chalet Show with Lynn Parsons, and Adam Curry's Daily Source Code, to name a few.
