[edit] Plot
The story is based on a historical background (the so-called Steglitzer Schülertragödie) and takes place in the late 1920s. The main characters have trouble with their first great love and decide to commit suicide in case they don't get the love they mean to deserve. Always looking for the highest point in love, Paul (Daniel Brühl) and Günther (August Diehl) miss the real important issues in life. Their blurred vision destroys everything and a dangerous idea begins to grow in Günther's head: If we are not loved, we take the ones we love with us...
