Love Makes the World Go 'Round (1961 song)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Love Makes the World Go 'Round" is a popular song.
It was written by Bob Merrill in 1961 for the musical play Carnival!. Dutch singer Ronnie Tober won a songfestival in Sopott Poland(1966) singing a medley of show tunes which included "Love makes the world go Round". American singer Jane Morgan released a single of this song in 1961 on the Kapp label, though it was only a regional hit. (The song should not be confused with other songs with the same title, such as Perry Como's 1958 hit , or Paul Anka's 1963 hit - different yet. In addition, there are different contemporary compositions by singers like Madonna and Ashlee Simpson. All this can create difficulties managing copyrights.)
