Love Devotion Surrender is an album, released in 1973, by guitarists Carlos Santana and John McLaughlin, with the backing of their respective bands (at that time Santana and The Mahavishnu Orchestra). Both men were disciples of the guru Sri Chinmoy. The album was created as a tribute to free jazz pioneer John Coltrane, but has two McLaughlin songs but none by Santana. In 2003, Love Devotion Surrender was released as CD with alternative versions as bonus track.
