From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
LoveHater is an experimental electric/electronic band working in rock, metal, jazz and electronica. Releases in 2003, "The Conquest of Space" is the first album by NYC band LoveHater, which members include Vangelis (Van) Prime and his wife Clymidia with occasional guitar rhythm and leads by Tim "T-Mo" Moran. Their producer is Brian Carlson, which also mixes and writes much of the material with Van.
[edit] Album Summary
"The Conquest of Space" is an electric/electronic synthesis album meant for hazy nights in dim rooms. Dark, spaced-out and absurdist, "The Conquest of Space" is meant to be listened to as a whole piece. The songs go from experimental, to rock and metal, into jazz and even some sort of Chinese stuff. Great for headphones, definitely to be played loud. If you like sci-fi and horror films you should get a kick out of this album. If you like bands such as Ministry, The Butthole Surfers, White Zombie and The Fall, LoveHater has some elements of all of them.
