Lourenço de Almeida

Lourenço de Almeida (died 1508[citation needed]), son of Francisco de Almeida, acting under him, distinguished himself in the Indian seas, and made Ceylon tributary to Portugal.[1] He fell in a naval act off Calicut.[2]
