Louisiana's 3rd congressional district

The 3rd Louisiana Congressional District in contained in Greater New Orleans. It contains all of Southeast and South Central Louisiana, including much of Acadiana. It contains the cities of Houma, New Iberia, and Chalmette. In 2006, Democratic Charlie Melancon won reelection.
