[edit] About Louise

Naming her was hard for the family as first of all the decided on calling the baby Shannon. Gaby Willis from across the street had given birth on the same day as Cheryl and had planned to call her baby son Shannon. In the end, Lou and Cheryl called her Louise (Lolly) and Gaby decided to call her son, Zach.

Lolly was cared for by three nannies over the years. First of all was Victoria Smith, who was more interested in smoking and watching TV than caring for Lolly. The next nanny, Serendipity Gottlieb, was the longest serving nanny, and cared for Lolly for many months during her first year, The third nanny, Patsy Edis stole from the house.

The family celebrated Lolly's first birthday with a party by the lake and Lou orginised for the family to leave their handprints in a block of cement to commemorate the special occasion.

Her mother, Cheryl, died one afternoon in 1996 whilst trying to save Lolly from the path of an oncoming car.

In late 1999, Lou was forced to rush up to Queensland to sort out his daughter Lauren's marital problems. Louise was left in the care of Karl and Susan Kennedy. On Millennium Eve the Scully family held a party on Ramsay Street and Lolly was looked after by Michelle Scully. Michelle left Lolly unattended, where she discovered some fireworks, which she proceeded to play with, causing a huge fire and had to be rescued by Drew Kirk who was in the middle of proposing to Libby Kennedy. Thankfully, both Drew and Lolly survived.

When Lolly started Primary school, Lou was concerned by the Lolly' lack of enthusiasm after the first week. Lou spoke to her teacher but instead of getting to the bottom of why Lolly was reluctant to go to school, ended up being talked into joining the schools fundraising comittee.

Lolly fell into Number 30's swimming pool one afternoon and very nearly died. But thankfully she was rescued from the water by Darcy Tyler.

[edit] Louise's Departure

In 2001, Lou received a letter from a man named John Allen, who claimed to be Louise's real father. Lou had DNA tests and was devastated when he found out that he was not Lolly's real father. He lied to John and said that John was not Lolly's dad and that the matter was over and that he did not want to hear from him again. After many meetings with the Allens who were unable to have children and many trips to the family court it was decided that John and his wife Sandy would be the best people to care for Lolly. Lou was heartbroken at losing his little girl. In a desperate attempt to keep Louise with him he ran away with her. Joe Scully and Harold Bishop tracked them down, saying that if the authorities found out he would lose any chance of seeing Lolly in the future. Lou eventually returned to Erinsbourgh with Lolly and told her that she was going to live with the Allens. Louise who was only seven at the time could not understand why. She said goodbye to Lou waving at him from the back of the car.

Lou still saw Lolly at weekends but when she moved to the country he only saw her in the holidays. As far as Louise is concerned Lou will always be her daddy. She was devastated when she left Lou. The first time she visited she only played with Emily Hancock.

[edit] Return

Louise will return in 2007, this time played by Adelaide Kane, the character having been rapidly aged.
