Louis de Deyster

Louis de Deyster (1656–1711) was a Flemish painter, born in Bruges. He was of a deeply religious temper, and his character was reflected in his choice of subjects, such as the "Death of the Virgin," "The Resurrection of Christ," &c.; he was a recluse.
