Louis Sévèke

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jean Louis Bernhard Sévèke (Venray, April 28, 1964 - Nijmegen, November 15, 2005) was a Dutch activist, journalist and writer. He was known for his legal action against the Police and the Dutch secret service.

On November 15, 2005 he was murdered, 41 years old, in the town centre of Nijmegen. Since that time rumours of involvement of police or secret services has been abound. A year after the murder the police did not make much headway, it is only to thank the left-wing Nijmegen mayor that the case is still high on the agenda. Dutch secret service (AIVD) is suggested to have had a 24/7 surveillance on Sévèke at the time of his murder; however no information from the secret service to the police has been forthcoming.
