Lou Marsh Trophy

The Lou Marsh Trophy is awarded annually by a panel of journalists in recognition of Canada's top athlete. Each year the vote takes place in December. The award is named after Lou Marsh, a well-known athlete, referee, and sports writer.
Wayne Gretzky has won the award a record four times.
