Lou Hemming

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lou Hemming is a Manitoba politician. In 2002, he was chosen as the first leader of the Manitoba Grey Party (MGP).

The Grey Party focused on senior citizen's issues, especially affordable health care and the cost of prescription drugs. It also favoured a "right-wing populist" ideology on some issues, claiming that Canada's legal profession held too much power over the nation's government.

Hemming did not seek elected office in 2003. In addition, the MGP did not register as an official party for the 2003 election, nor did they endorse any candidates in the election.

The Grey Party of Canada seems to have dissolved in 2003. It is not clear if the Manitoba Grey Party still exists in any form, or if Hemming is still politically active.
