Lotte is a village and a municipality in the district of Steinfurt, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is situated on the north side of the Teutoburg Forest, approx. 10 km west of Osnabrück. Population as of 2006 is about 12,000 inhabitants. The village consists of 4 smaller villages - Bueren, Wersen, Halen and Alt Lotte.
