It has also been argued that hunting and gathering represents an evolutionary niche which can exploited by human groups if and when it would be benefitial to do so. In this way, the transition from hunting and gathering to agrigulturalism is not necessarily a one way process. [1] |

I do not understand much to either cultural anthropology or ecology (I studied mathematics and I learn now Siberian Yupik language), but I cannot exclude the possibility that maybe this part can be important for some people.
Best wishes, and much succes in Your work/studies!

Dear Losecontrol,
Thank You very much for Your quick answer, and the reinsertion.
Also the rephrasing was intresting for me.
I hope, if I know more on Eskimos in future, I shall know more about cultural anthropology. Eskimos have tens of words for walrus, and also tens of words for demonstratives -- but only a few hundred numerals (and even that looks like a recent thing in their language).
It makes easier for me to learn Eskimo languages, that this language is similar to Hungarian (typologically). And there is a huge amount of Soviet materials on Siberian Yupik language (available even in Budapest).
I wish much success in Your profession!
[edit] thanks
Thanks for keeping the Derrick Jensen page cleaned up. Like I've said, I haven't read anything from him, so I don't feel comfortable getting involved since I don't know how much emphasis he places on the statement being added to the article, but I have suspected pov problems associated with them. Anyways, thanks for keeping an eye on it. Ungovernable ForceThe Wiki Kitchen! 09:15, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
