Lost and Found was the first single to be taken from UK rock band Feeder's singles album titled "The Singles".
The song was voted 79th best song of 2006 by the readers of Q Magazine.[1]
The single was supported for the first time with a series of digital downloads, recorded live from each date of the bands rescheduled tour of 2005 with the gigs played in 2006, and helped the track chart at #20 on the UK downloads chart- the first time Feeder have been top 20 on that chart.
"Lost and Found" entered the UK Singles Chart the week prior to its physical release due to a new rule stating that singles could enter on the Sunday before release based on download sales, therefore entering the charts at #112. The week after it officially debuted at it's peak position - as the #112 position was outside the recorded Top 75, making the single the week's highest new entry. It reached #12 in the UK charts.
In Scotland however it did even better and made #9, the same chart placing "Shatter"/"Tender" achieved and the first time the band had back to back top 10 hits in any one country.
The vinyl set of two discs has an old 1998 recording named "Uptight", and featured the late Jon Lee on the drumkit. It's been described by the fanbase as the sort of song you'd hear on either 1999's "Yesterday Went Too Soon", or 2001's breakthrough album "Echo Park".
