"Lose My Breath" is an R&B song written by Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, LaShawn Daniels, Fred Jerkins III, Sean Garrett, and Jay-Z for Destiny's Child's fourth studio album, Destiny Fulfilled (2004). It was produced by Knowles and Jerkins and released as the album's lead single in autumn 2004. The song reached number one in Belgium, China, India, Israel, and Ireland and entered the top ten on the majority of the charts it appeared on, making it one of Destiny's Child most successful single releases. The song was also nominated for a Grammy award for Best R&B Vocal Performance by a Duo Or Group.

The music video for "Lose My Breath" was directed by Marc Klasfeld and was shot in Los Angeles in the week of October 6, 2004.

The video takes place in an alleyway, where the girls are having a dance off with the crowd and twin alternate versions of themselves. They get angry at there dance partners because there not showing the love that they give him. Thus the lyrics 'did'nt momma teach you to give affection.' At the final part of the music video the third replicas of destiny child come in and show that the others are nothing compared to them so make way.

The editing and camera work includes a lot of fast cutting and sweeping shots. The shoot was covered on MTV's Making The Video and spawned two different versions, containing some different shots and angles, but this version was only shown once on TRL as the world premiere.

"Lose My Breath" quickly entered the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100. The single peaked at number three on that chart, becoming Destiny's Child's ninth top ten single. The song also peaked at number three in Australia, and peaked at number two in the UK. The music video was nominated at the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards in the Best Dance Video category.

In United Kingdom, "Lose My Breath" was beaten to the top of the singles chart by the Eminem single "Just Lose It" on the first week, U2's "Vertigo" the following week, and Girls Aloud's "I'll Stand by You" for further two weeks. However, it did spend a month at #2 and was certified silver by the BPI after selling 221,000 copies, performing better than these three singles which have kept "Lose My Breath" off the top position. It remained within the top ten for seven consecutive weeks and was one of the biggest hits of late 2004. "Lose My Breath" was certified double platinum by the RIAA for selling in excess of 400,000 digital downloads. It did however top the singles chart in other European countries which were in Ireland and Switzerland. In Israel, it maintained at the number one position for an impressive fourteen weeks. Moreover, it was number one on the United World Tracks Charts for eleven weeks.
