Lorraine McIntosh was born on 13 May 1964, in Glasgow, Scotland.

She is the female vocalist, with the Scottish rock band, Deacon Blue.

She also now plays the character Alice Henderson in the popular Scottish soap, River City which is set in a fictitious suburb of Glasgow.

Lorraine has also appeared in a number of Scottish films, including Ken Loach's My Name Is Joe and Lone Scherfig's Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself as well as an episode of popular drama series Taggart.
