Loretto is a city in Hennepin County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 570 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.8 km² (0.3 mi²), all land.

As of the census2 of 2000, there were 570 people, 225 households, and 146 families residing in the city. The population density was 758.9/km² (1,948.7/mi²). There were 228 housing units at an average density of 303.6/km² (779.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 98.95% White, 0.53% Native American, and 0.53% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.18% of the population.
There were 225 households out of which 38.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.4% were married couples living together, 4.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 34.7% were non-families. 27.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.53 and the average family size was 3.22.
In the city the population was spread out with 29.3% under the age of 18, 7.5% from 18 to 24, 33.7% from 25 to 44, 18.8% from 45 to 64, and 10.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 107.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 102.5 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $54,375, and the median income for a family was $71,944. Males had a median income of $50,208 versus $32,321 for females. The per capita income for the city was $27,443. About 0.7% of families and 1.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including none of those under age 18 and 8.2% of those age 65 or over.
