When Lorelai tells Richard and Emily that she and Luke broke up and they have no real reaction Lorelai is hurt and astonished. She also realizes that not all the things her parents have wanted for her were crazy. And that everything in her emotional life has been done to do the opposite of what Emily and Richard wanted for her.

Emily plans Lorelai to have a cotillion and Michele forces Lorelai to go she finally realizes everything her parents wanted for her were not all crazy or out of the blue.

Rory is finding it hard to have a long-distance realtionship and is really missing Logan.

At a Father and Daughter Christopher set up for he and Rory he makes a big confession to Lorelai.
