Lordy Tugade (born on December 30, 1977) at the town of Alaminos, Pangasinan. This talented yet humble Pangasinense first showed his brilliance as a basketball star at the UAAP playing in National University Bulldogs uniform. Many fans and spectators saw his potentials as a future basketball superstar.

The development of Tugade's career went very well when he was selected as one of the player in the Semi-professional league - the Philippine Basketball League in the mid-90's and later in the Philippine Basketball Association as a pro. In fact, the bright lights did not shimmer early in his career as a PBA player. Nevertheless, when Coach Yeng Guiao finally gave him the signal to standout as a superstar, Lordy Tugade responded very well.

At the 2005-2006 Fiesta Conference, through the effort of Lordy and Enrico Villanueva, the returned of Mick Pennisi, the acquisition of rookie shooting guard Larry Fonacier, the much-suited import James Penny, and the other tough players from the team, the Barakos finally reached the finals anew. In Game 2 against the Purefoods Chunkee Giants, Tugade outscored all locals with 30 points. After the team won the 2005-06 Fiesta Conference Championship, Lordy was named the Finals MVP - his first ever-major award as a professional basketball player.

The next conference, Tugade broke his silence when he was dubbed as the "Alaminos Assassin" by the courtside commentators Mico Halili and Quinito Henson. Averaging his highest percentage in the three-point-land of 56.7 percent, he became the league's leading three-point shooter during the 2006 Philippine Cup. In the same conference, he was ranked number 4 for the MVP race and became part of the First Mythical Team selection.
