Lord Lieutenant of Humberside

A list of the Lord Lieutenants of Humberside. The office was created on April 1, 1974, and abolished on March 31, 1996.
- Charles Wood, 2nd Earl of Halifax April 1, 1974–1980 (formerly Lord Lieutenant of the East Riding of Yorkshire)[1]
- Rupert Alexander Alec-Smith July 4, 1980–1983[2]
- Richard Anthony Bethell October 18, 1983–1996[3], [4]
On April 1, 1996, the Lieutenancy of the East Riding of Yorkshire was restored, covering what was northern Humberside, with the southern part being ceded back to the Lincolnshire Lieutenancy.
