Lord Derby Cup

The Lord Derby Cup (French: Trophée Lord Derby) is the major knock-out competition for French rugby league clubs.
The competition started in 1935. The trophy was presented to the French federation by Edward Stanley, 17th Earl of Derby, for whom it is named . Derby was the honoury president of the Rugby Football League, and had also previously served as the British ambassador in Paris.
