Loraine is a village in Adams County, Illinois, United States. The population was 363 at the 2000 census.

Loraine is located at 40°9′7″N, 91°13′25″W (40.152039, -91.223732)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.2 km² (0.9 mi²), all land.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 363 people, 138 households, and 104 families residing in the village. The population density was 164.9/km² (429.0/mi²). There were 145 housing units at an average density of 65.9/km² (171.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 99.45% White, and 0.55% from two or more races.

There were 138 households out of which 39.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.8% were married couples living together, 7.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 24.6% were non-families. 21.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.63 and the average family size was 3.12.

In the village the population was spread out with 30.3% under the age of 18, 6.1% from 18 to 24, 30.9% from 25 to 44, 21.8% from 45 to 64, and 11.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females there were 93.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.7 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $41,875, and the median income for a family was $43,542. Males had a median income of $28,750 versus $20,781 for females. The per capita income for the village was $17,333. About 9.3% of families and 11.7% of the population were below the poverty line, including 15.0% of those under age 18 and 10.8% of those age 65 or over.
