Talk:Long Island Music Hall of Fame
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Added db-spam tag, this thing you guys have done, putting the following "They will be inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame [1] in 2007." in the PRESENTATION of every band/musician of your inductees (though some have deleted them on the respective page alone). I know you are non profit, but this way of advertising should be strongly prohibited! I think it's very arrogant to put links to you in their presentation like that, have some respect for the artists and Wikipedia. It would be acceptable IF you just have the links to the artists on the main article page, and I'd think you shouldn't have any links to you're hall of fame on any of the artists' pages! I saw this two months ago and thought it would be deleted, but it wasn't so I'm taking action. 84.217.41.247 17:35, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
WP:NOT#SOAPBOX excerpt: "Creating overly abundant links and references to autobiographical articles is unacceptable." 84.217.41.247 17:39, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- I've edited the article and I have nothing to do with them. I know of at least one other person who has also edited it (you could check history if it weren't deleted) who has no ties to them. See Wikipedia:Deletion_review/Log/2006_November_25#Long_Island_Music_Hall_of_Fame for why this HoF is notable enough to warrant an article. *Spark* 14:01, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
