Each message is 228 bytes long, so the bandwidth consumed increases as a multiple of that.There is nothing in the LonTalk protocol that limits the communication speed. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Back ache (talk • contribs) .
It depends on which physical layer we're discussing. "Free topology" runs slower than, say 1.25 Mb/s RS-485.
