Longmeng (Chinese for Dragon Dream) is a Chinese low-cost computer being designed to cost 100. The project is being developed by the Institute of Computing Technology (ICT) under the Chinese Academy of Sciences.[1]

The computer has a 64-Bit Godson III processor, clocked at 800-1000 mHz, 256MB DDR-RAM, a 40-60GB Hard Drive, four USB ports, and a 100Mbit NIC. It is equipped with a DVD drive as well as digital games. It uses Red Flag Linux as its operating system.

Longmeng is the size of a notebook, 17 × 14 cm, 500 grams, and early news erroneously presented it to be a laptop.

The new computer has been announced by the computer expert Zhang Fuxin. According to Fuxin, the purpose of this project is to provide everyone with a personal computer.

The computer is marketed by the Menglan Group from the eastern city of Changshu in the province of Jiangsu, which has plans of selling 100,000 low-cost computers in 2006. The Longmeng is intended for low income groups as well as rural area students.
