Long Creek is a city in Grant County, Oregon, United States. The population was 228 at the 2000 census.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 228 people, 96 households, and 60 families residing in the city. The population density was 86.3/km² (222.9/mi²). There were 115 housing units at an average density of 43.5/km² (112.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 96.05% White, 0.88% Native American, and 3.07% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.44% of the population.
There were 96 households out of which 31.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.1% were married couples living together, 8.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 36.5% were non-families. 30.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.38 and the average family size was 2.93.
In the city the population was spread out with 27.2% under the age of 18, 3.9% from 18 to 24, 28.5% from 25 to 44, 24.1% from 45 to 64, and 16.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females there were 96.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 102.4 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $31,250, and the median income for a family was $33,393. Males had a median income of $29,583 versus $16,875 for females. The per capita income for the city was $16,076. About 17.5% of families and 17.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including 13.2% of those under the age of eighteen and 20.5% of those sixty five or over.
