Long-Haired Hamster: fur on a longhaired hamster should be very thick but is "fluffy," like a cotton wool, rather than the velvety feel of shorthaired fur. For this reason, people who are not allergic to shorthaired hamsters can be allergic to longhairs.

[edit] Hamster's Popularity

Hamsters are popular pets in both labratory and house common pets. They have a short pinkish tail, a small pink nose, a black and red colored eyes, a small thin sensetive ears and a round small body. But hamsters have different patterns such as banded, dominant spot, tortoise shell, etc. Long hamsters like any other hamsters tend to store food in there puches in thier mouth. It holds the food so they can go back to there den or nest (if they were in the wild) but still sometimes as a pet they still do they same similar action.

Hamsters also have a tendencey to run aay r have the urge to break out. They don't represent they want to break out when they chew on the bars. That only means they are breaking there teeth... this can be easily avoided if you give them chew toys.
