The Lone Star Showdown trophy is awarded each year to the winner of the State Farm Lone Star Showdown athletic contest between The University of Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M University Aggies. First awarded for the 2004-2005 school year, Texas has won the trophy in both years of the competition. With the Texas A&M football team's 12-7 victory over The University of Texas, the schools are currently tied for this year's showdown series.
